Muan Phan [Surreal] was written as part of the composition/theory scheme held by Thai Youth Winds (TYW) in August 2021 and won the final competition under the same programme. Utilised in the piece, the Thai folk tune was written and given out by one of the scheme's supevisors, Rung-radis Chanchampa. The music blends the Thai traditional voice together with the Western Romantic harmony to create a "surreal" sonority of intertwined cultures.
